Summary and Prerequisites: In this tutorial you will learn how to use BlueLava Studio to publish a press release to your website and email it to members of a subscriber group. This tutorial assumes fundamental knowledge of word processing as well as a basic understanding of BlueLava Studio.
Preparation work: Before beginning the tutorial, you should use BlueLava Studio to set up a subscriber group and add a few subscribers. You also may want to write up a sample press release in an external word processing program.
Step 1: Login to BlueLava Studio and navigate to the NewsRoom Element where the press release will be published.
Step 2: Choose Publish an Article from the main NewsRoom screen.
Step 3: Enter article information (headline, date, author, summary) in step 1a.
Step 4: Enter the body of your press release or paste a release from an external text editor in step 1b.
Step 5: To publish the release to your website, click Publish to Website in step 2. To only send this release to subscribers, skip ahead to step 7.
Step 6: Select the NewsRooms this article will be published in (articles can be published to multiple NewsRooms).
Step 7: If you are sending this article to subscribers, click Email to Subscription Group (If not, skip ahead to step 9).
Step 8: To send this article to every subscriber on your site, choose Send to all subscribers; to send to certain subscriber groups, choose Send to Selected Group(s) and select the desired groups.
Step 9: In step 3, choose a font style, preview the release and click the Publish Article button. The article has been published to your website and/or sent to the desired subscribers.
